Bridging the gap between the job site and HR.
As Founder & Principal Consultant at Estrea Solutions, my background spans more than 25 years split between forestry operations and human resources giving me a grounded understanding of both the jobsite and the boardroom.
Through the 1990s and early 2000s, I worked across BC’s forestry sector with Marlita Forestry, Zimmermann Forest Products, and Canadian Forest Products (Canfor). Managing crews, production schedules, and safety in demanding field environments gave me a firsthand understanding of how industrial teams operate and what they need to perform well.
In the years that followed, I brought that same grounded approach to HR roles with organizations such as the Department of National Defence, Canadian Coast Guard, BC Transit, Cowichan Tribes, Royal Roads University, and ACCIONA Services. Across each, my clients and operations were industrial and blue-collar from maintenance and transit to construction and facilities where compliance, safety, and workforce stability are essential.
Today, through Estrea Solutions, I deliver HR consulting built on both sides of the industry. I help BC employers strengthen compliance, safety, and workforce systems through practical, people-focused HR that aligns with the realities of the jobsite.
